Recreativo's Primera Liga match at Real Madrid will go ahead on Wednesday despite a crash that left four of the Huelva club's fans dead when a supporters' bus ploughed into a lorry in southern Spain.
The Spanish Football Federation said in a statement the match would proceed as planned despite the appeals of Recreativo officials who had asked for it to be postponed.
"We have asked for the game to be called off, it's the most logical and human thing to do," Recreativo president Francisco Mendoza had told Radio Marca.
"What was going to be a celebration has been converted into a tragedy. We've been in contact with Real Madrid and the appropriate authorities."
Three bus passengers and their driver died in the crash as they travelled north to see the match at the Bernabeu.
The Andalucian health service said 35 injured passengers, some in a serious condition, had been taken to hospitals in Seville and Huelva after the bus collided with the lorry blocking the A-47 near Seville following a separate accident.
