About Me

AlisaHey guys, my name is Alisa. I started this site to share my one true love with all of you... WEED! :) I'll be talking about personal experiences with the sticky icky and other general pot related stuff. I also want to use this site as a platform where we can talk about the laws keeping us from enjoying this totally safe and beneficial herb! It's not fair that alcohol is completely OK to drink but weed is illegal. Anyway, I'll try not to get carried away for now. I'll post as often as I can and I hope you all enjoy! :)

How I Like My Weed

Today I am going to talk about all the different ways you can do pot! I am actually super excited cause I just learned about cannabutter. This makes baking weed so much easier. I’ll explain exactly how to make it in a little bit.

First off, the smoke. This is by far the most common way that I do pot. It’s just sooo much easier. I am thinking about cutting back though cause I am pretty sure that the actual smoke itself is not good for you. If you want to smoke you have 4 options. You can roll a joint or a blunt and smoke it like a cigarette. A joint is made of regular rolling paper that can be bought in any tobacco shop. A blunt is made from a cigar. You just need to break open the cigar and replace the tobacco with pot. I personally like to use a pipe, it is simple and you don’t have to worry about it running out. I can grab my pipe and sit back and relax with no effort at all. Last but not least, the bong. A bong is a big device that uses water to clean the pot smoke. I never found these overly useful and the water is really nasty if it ever spill but some people swear by them.

My favorite way to do pot is by eating it. I will usually bake it into brownies, cake or cupcakes. This does take a little time though because you have to actually do some baking. :) I also don’t do this too often or I would weigh a lot more than I do. Remember when I mentioned cannabutter? Every single type of baking requires butter, cannabutter makes it easy to put the weed evenly into your food. All you need to do is melt a stick of butter and then dissolve some chopped up weed into it and put it in the fridge. When it comes out.. tada, cannabutter.

When I don’t feel like smoking or baking, I will take a little cannabutter and melt it into a cup of tea… I add a little honey and it makes a great weed laced drink. This is a nice way to do pot if you don’t want to smoke or bake. :) This is also great if you don’t want the smell everywhere… there are certain times when you just can’t smoke but still want to relax with a little pot.

Those are all of my fave ways to do pot, what are your?

Why Are There Cannabis Laws?

I was watching the news last night and the UK has some pretty weird pot laws. Some of these laws make zero sense to me… I’m also having trouble understanding why there are any laws completely banning weed at all when anyone can go to the local pub and order a pint!

So, what are the laws in the UK? Well, you are not allowed to buy or sell weed. You are not allowed to grow weed. You can’t smoke weed either. You can, however, buy and sell as many seeds as you want. Heck, you can open up a gigantic see selling store if that’s what you feel like doing. To me, this seems a little silly. I mean if the only purpose for these seeds is to grow pot, and pot is illegal, why allow the seeds to be openly bought and sold. Makes you wonder why the government even bothers doesn’t it?

For those of you who are interested in taking part in the only legal aspect of weed… Getting yourself some seeds is as simple as Googling what you want. For example since seeds are legal here, just search for cannabis seeds UK or cannabis seeds for sale in the UK. You will find a ton of sites all selling a bunch of different types of pot, or at least their seeds.

Is growing pot illegal if you buy your own seeds? Yup, but at least you don’t have to worry about getting the supplies you need…

What will probably happen within a few years is that pot itself will become legal. There are just too many people who want this to happen. It is already starting in certain parts of the United States. There is so much evidence about the benefits of smoking pot and we are all starting to learn that most of the negative rumors are all completely wrong. The truth is that almost everyone has smoked at some point in their lives and they know it’s no big deal. As the younger generation starts to take control, the laws will slowly begin to ease up and you will be able to buy your weed at the local drug store.

There is actually a pretty powerful legalization movement that is getting bigger and stronger every day. Organisations like Clear, the UKCIA (UK Cannabis Internet Activists) and Legalise Cannabis Alliance (LCA). One of these groups is an actual political party. Those of you who are looking to make a difference or who want to stay informed when it comes to where we stand on changing the pot laws will probably want to follow the progress these groups are making.

So, as far as I’m concerned, it’s only a matter of time before weed is completely legalised.

Can We Be Addicted?

Hey guys, before I start off on this little rant, you should all know that I am very honest with my entire family. They all know that I love weed and smoke it all the time. For the most part, my fam is pretty open minded… but sometimes, I run into a little bump in the road. :)

I was having a conversation about pot with my aunt the other day. She said that she didn’t think that it was really bad for me per say, but she was worried that I would get addicted. I know that I always joke about being addicted to weed, but that is not the case. I explained to her that I was no more addicted to pot than she was to ice cream. 😛 Basically, I love it, use it a lot, but if I don’t have it for awhile that is OK too. Will I miss it, sure… Would you miss something that you liked doing? In order to convince her not to worry about me, I did a little research.

While I was searching the internet for answers I found that some people would get addicted to pot… these are the same people that get addicted to video games, tattoos, exercise and pretty much anything you can think of. Some people are just obsessive and will have trouble with any type of change. When it comes to physical addiction, there is ZERO proof that pot is in any way habit forming. In fact, I saw a few studies where they were using pot to help people ween off of other addictions. So, I guess smoking weed is like the opposite of getting addicted. 😛 Long story short, I helped my aunt feel a little better and I now know for sure that pot is not addictive at all.

Before I go, I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t mention that you definitely need to use pot responsibly. Just because it’s not addictive or dangerous, doesn’t mean you should drive around when you are high or get high all day long. Like anything else in life, if you over due it, you will have problems, so use your head! :)

My First Time

I am a huge fan of pot. I would even go as far as calling myself an addict, but not in a bad way. I just love the stuff! I usually only smoke on the weekends with friends and sometimes a little before bed. I didn’t always smoke weed though, in fact, a few years ago, I had never tried it.

hangoverI used to only drink when I hung out with friends. We would have a blast. My favorite drink combo was rum and coke. The only problem was that when you are out partying, it’s hard to keep track of how many you’ve had… I would always end up getting sick that night and be hung over the entire next day. If I drank a lot it would sometimes take two days for that “under the weather” feeling to pass. It really makes you think… If I feel that bad just from drinking, what am I doing to my body?

When I was 17 a few of my friends were smoking weed and wanted me to try it. They were not exactly what you would call pot heads, but they had some experience with weed. I was a little scared because it was a “drug”. Of course I was programmed by society to fear pot because it was illegal. Anyway, peer pressure and curiosity got the best of me and I decided to try it out for myself. Guess what?!? No paranoia, no jitters, no short term memory loss… nothing! All it did was make me feel relaxed, calm and happy.

When I smoke weed, I feel much more responsible than when I used to drink. I don’t get out of bed in the morning with a terrible headache and puking up my guts. In my personal opinion weed is 10 times better, safer and more enjoyable than drinking. Think about it, have you ever seen an angry pot head? Nope, just drunks! Anyway, that’s just my two cents. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Talk to you all later,
